My path is due to a series of corrections along the way. Before starting Psychology, i was studying to become a Computer Engineer; once in my Psychology degree, my focus was put on Jungian Analytic Psychology before I came into contact with a systemic approach.
Already in my training process as a Systemic therapist, I felt there was still something missing for me, until I arrived at the BTC and learned more about the Problem-Solving Brief Therapy with Karin Schlanger and the recordings from John Weakland’s therapies. Finally, all the pieces came together, as this was a truly systemic model that I could identify with. It could help me as a therapist to work with clients for the change they needed to achieve; PSBT promotes an active approach as a therapist, understanding the complexity of the systems that we work with, while being respectful of the client’s perspective and the time invested in the therapy.
When working with me, expect an active interaction to work on the problem(s) that we are dealing with in session. We would work towards solutions and alternatives that can be effective -and efficient- promoting changes that can sustain in the long run.
