Brief Therapy Center

Diana Guelar

I have always been interested in therapies that would help in an effective way to get out of suffering in reasonable terms. She studied Psychology at the University of Barcelona, psychoanalytically oriented. However, once I graduated, I obtained a Fulbright Scholarship and decided to do postgraduate studies in Palo Alto, at the Mental Research Institute, specializing in the strategic systemic model. Later I created the Brief Therapy Center of Barcelona, and I currently co-direct the Center for the Development of Youth and Adolescents La Casita in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Mariangeles Ruiz

I was introduced to the TB Problem Solving Model through the books I read at University while training as a psychologist; In order to study a university degree, I needed to leave my place of origin and move to a bigger city where I could have access to better study opportunities, so I obtained a scholarship and left Chiapas for Guadalajara. While studying and working, I began to dream of meeting the authors of the books who were still doing psychotherapy and being able to learn directly from them...so I arrived in Palo Alto after many hours of traveling and met Karin Schlanger who helped me and with whom I took the first steps to fall in love with the model. Through other scholarships I was able to continue studying and I managed to do a double master's degree and a specialty at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Today I continue learning and collaborating with Karin and I have developed my work accompanying organizations preferably family businesses in solving their problems.
